In states like Louisiana without basic guarantees of fairness in public accomodations, discrimination and humiliation are real concerns for LGBT couples hoping to exercise their fundamental right to marry. Recent actions by conservative lawmakers and the Governor seeking to shield businesses that discriminate against LGBT couples highlight just how precarious things are in our state.
When marriage equality comes to Louisiana, we want our community to be able to celebrate without worrying that their love will be denied by their wedding vendors. That is why we have created this directory—the only one of its kind in the state, if not the South—to provide an easily accessible list of over one hundred vendors in categories ranging from florists to officiants to videographers.
