Baton Rouge Pride Fest
Baton Rouge Pride Inc. is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to bringing an educational, family-friendly, entertaining GLBT pride celebration to Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.
Parents & Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) of Baton Rouge
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.
Pride 1
Pride 1 is a non-profit organization in Baton Rouge, La. It has celebrated Pride in Baton Rouge for 9 years now, and has had an official “Pride Week” for 8. Pride 1 has a focus on not just one day, but year around. The organization has sponsored AIDS benefits, LSU organizations, and supported many local businesses throughout the years. Pride 1 has hosted many different events throughout the years from Film Festivals, Award shows, Balls, Fundraisers, Parties, Dinners, Art shows, & more.

First Contact @ LSU
First Contact is designed for students who are in need of guidance and support as they begin to encounter the LGBTQ community. First Contact is an opportunity for interested students to be paired up with a trained peer contact. Students that are either out, in the closet, or simply questioning benefit from having one on one guidance from a peer that has experience with coming out and the LGBTQ community at LSU.
Gay Alliance for Legal Equality at Southern University Law Center

The Gay Alliance for Legal Equality (GALE) is the first organization at Southern University Law Center centered around lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues in the legal community.
OUTlaw @ LSU
The mission of OUTlaw is to create a climate at the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in which it is safe and comfortable to be openly lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or an ally.
Spectrum @ LSU
Spectrum empowers and supports LSU lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) communities as well as their allies, by providing social support, education, programming, and opportunities to participate in campus and community activism.
The Student Equality Project
The Student Equality Project works to educate the LSU community about issues related to people of gender and sexual diversities, their allies, and other marginalized communities; to advocate for equal rights and recognition through social and political reform; and to build collaborative relationships with other student and community organizations to work towards a better, more unified society.
